Keys to Sharing Family History especially with Children

This webinar includes inspiring, get-started-now resources to trace your heritage, and share it with those you love. "Your Most Powerful Legacy is Your Story. One of the most powerful and unique legacies you can leave behind is the story of who you are and where you came from. People–especially children–are more resilient when they know stories about their roots. Many family history buffs express a deeper sense of identity, purpose and connectedness because they can define stronger links between themselves and the past."

February 2021 Webinar

This month's Webinar focused on the clues and resources needed to recreate an African American ancestor’s journey from slavery to freedom.

The most difficult part of genealogical research for African Americans is finding and identifying slave ancestors and their owners, but as difficult as this might seem, it is not impossible.

For many people of African descent, the experience can become overwhelming. This lecture focused on the multitude of clues and resources available for research, including the importance of using the U.S. Federal Census records and the records of the antebellum slaveholders.

January 2021 Webinar

This month's Webinar was a complete discussion about

some of the wonderful gems that can be found on

 Findagrave.com & Billiongraves.com

  • Some of the amazing "gems" I've found on these websites!
  • Both websites offer opportunities to collaborate on information and photos.
  • Both websites are constantly being updated with new content.
  • Both websites offer service opportunities to collect & share research.

"I hope you will join me on a walk as I share some of my wondrous experiences with both of these websites. I want to impress that as we search for those who have come before us, we gain confidence, happiness and a sense of satisfaction."
